Well, hello there

Whelps, there have been many a changes that have occurred over the past few months. Firstly, I (Danielle) got a full time job working with the Salvation Army, working as an Education Support Worker. Part teacher aid role, part social worker. Its an interesting mix that I was sure to enjoy. However, what I did not realize until actually doing this job, is that some people are classroom people, and some people are one on one people. I had it all cooked up in my mind till then that I would go back to school to be a teacher, until this job. Now its a...hmm...I am not sure. I still would like to go back to school, I think I miss the institution, someone forcing me to learn through deadlines, and the debates that occur, and the kind of challenges that occur in that environment. So, that is yet a ways away, due to my lack of permanent residence and all, so I will be sure to keep you posted regarding these things, in oh, a year and a half from now. So I am coming up to my last day at the job on Monday, sad to leave people I have enjoyed (staff and students), but not so sad about leaving classroom and having learned a lesson I would not have any other way. I think we all have our moments where we don't learn something until we try it ourselves (whats the touching the hot stove analogy we all know so well?)

Well, I am being informed that it is time for us to go, but I wanted to keep you posted on at least one piece of information. We will most more soon....
